ah siok, i don't mean to tempt you, but i sayang you for unable to eat this, i wonder australia got sell this or not?maybe chinatown ada! if don't have, jangan makan your laptop k!

before i start posting picture i must let everyone know,how this become our chinese custom

Long LONGGGG AGOOO, when ayam berkokok,


there is an impoartant minister call Qu Yan from Chu Kingdom in ancient China,
He had been known for his loyalty for the emperor of Chu, and loved his country greatly.However, His Majesty had not taken Qu Yuan's advice seriously, and he eventually got himself trapped and captured in a foreign land by his enemies, which then lead to his own death.


WHY he wanted to jump into river???
Sad and angry at the corrupted, dying Kingdom, Qu Yuan tied himself to a big rock and threw himself into the River of Puo Luo.

 

The people then made rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves and threw them into the river. They believed this would stop the fish from eating Qu Yuan's body. Some would even row down stream in a boat, beating drums and shouting out loud in the hope to scare the fish away (it was believed that it is how the Dragon Boat event is related to the festival.

 since then every 5th of 5th month in chinese calendar has been set as dumpling festival which in chinese is call Tuan Wu Jie, to remember the incidence.

somehow there are many version of stories about how dumpling festival come, this is what i normally heard. I think people care more of the ingredient of dumpling.

which is my main point of this post

this is how a wrapped dumpling look like, i can't see the difference of the nyonya zhang and bak zhang, but normally bak zhang is bigger size than nyonya zhang

the ingredient of nyonya zhang is much more simple as compare to bak zhang, this is why it is cheaper too

i prefer nyonya zhang. BUT since i m on diet i only eat one nyonya zhang..

my bro see me taking nice picture so he also join the crowd ( 2person also consider crowd) started to play with my camera.

yucks, flash and oily food can never be good friend. because the flash light will only make the food look even more oily. this photo is merely want to hao lian that my picture is better than my brother.

there are many type of dumpling, i shall keep for next year dumpling festival k?
